The Monster Energy team has taken the top two spots in BMX Vert today at X Games Austin 2015 with Vince Byron taking his first-ever gold. In doing so, Byron ended Jamie Bestwick’s run of nine gold medals, longest winning streak in X Games history—the legendary Bestwick finished right behind Byron with the silver medal. Today was Byron’s first gold, though he’s no stranger to the X podium. This is the sixth X Games medal for the Australian across BMX Vert and Big Air events, including three previously in Vert.
