Nate Wessel had his knee surgery a couple of weeks ago. He was recovering and staying at Scott Powell's in Cleveland, so Nate invited me to come hang and cuddle. So I spent a few days in Cleveland just chillin, watching movies, old skate videos, some video called Whiskey 2. Eating at fine Mexican restaurants, The Cheesecake Factory, and oh yeah, home cooked food from Powell. Nate is doing well and is excited to have the surgery done with and looking forward to getting better. On his down time from building and riding, Nate will be busy riding beavers instead of his bike and working on his signature Failure frame.
-The season hasn't started off well for Haro's Peter Geys over in Belgium. Here's the update from Peter himself: Hello guys I’ve got more bad news from the doctor! I’m having a crack at a tendon in my left shoulder and I need a surgery on it. Because I broke 2 ribs and my collarbone on January 18th in Barcelona, Spain, they need to wait 3 weeks longer before a surgery is recommended and than it's going to take a few months before I can start riding again, bummer! Get well soon Peter.

-Tobias Wicke....currently getting away from the bloody cold Berlin winter by passing his days with Hannu Cools (now also being helped by Etnies) and some Carhartt and Redbull 'industry types at Woodward East.....is also well on with testing his brand new signature bar. For an idea of how that's going to ride, think Cologne bar with some new technology and a unique 13butted design used only by wethepeople, stronger than the rest where Tobi (and you) need it most.
This Sunday, 5 March, the Orange 2006 Jam will take place at Ricardo´s and Björn´s Vertramp in Rafelbunyol, Valencia, Spain. It´s no highly-paid-pros-only comp. Just us and our friends having fun at our vert-ramp. Everybody who loves riding vert is very welcome!
We don't really speak Spanish over here at FATBMX. We can order a beer at the bar in Spanish but that's about it. We received this flyer and info (in Spanish) from Lalo Paredes. After taking a closer look at the flyer we noticed John Heaton, Viki Gomez and Vladdie on the contest flyer. Hey wait a minute, I took those pics! Blatently stolen from FATBMX.
Paulo Charaba is keeping things alive in Brasil. He's putting on two more contests in March of this year.
