Breaking into the top 10 of the UCI Individual ranking isn't an easy thing to do. Events on the UCI calendar of the past 12 months count towards this ranking with events/points older than 12 months being dropped, and new scores being added every Tuesday. The current top 10 are listed below (Men/Women) and with the next UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup coming up next week in Montpellier, France, changes are likely to happen. Who will make it to the top 10? Who will drop out? Keep on checking because things are getting interesting.

The Olympics qualifying period started on 1 November 2018 and will go until 11 May of 2020. That means we're 6 months in and we've got 12 to go. We decided to give you an update on who is doing well at the moment and who are on the bubble making it to the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020. But first things first. A little explanation of how this works is needed. Only 9 spots are available for Men and Women at the first Olympic Games in Tokyo. Clearly, that's not a lot, especially when you know hundreds of riders are trying to make it there. During the Qualification period several events count where riders can score points for their nation. The nation ranking in the end is used to see which countries have conquered a spot to ride in Tokyo. The two best ranked riders per nation form the Nation ranking. Their points get added up and that way it's clear to see where their nation is ranked. For the moment the nation ranking looks like this.

FISE European Series. Riders went big in the Comunidad de Madrid to wrap the finals' day! MAY 3rd, 4th, 5th. Huge transfers, massive slams and many surprises, riders went big this weekend to wave the Comunidad de Madrid crowd. More than 25 000 spectators gathered at the WizinK Center to enjoy the BMX Freestyle Park and Skateboard contests. To complete the program, many activities were set up in front of the stadium. The BMX Flatland initiations were challenging the most curious, and street art artists of Art & FISE were performing live. The finals were set up to be huge.

For BMX Freestyle Park, The lesson of the day would be that nothing is played in advance. And as it says, it’s not because you were the 12th at yesterday semi-final that you can’t win. And everybody knows
