If BMX wouldn't be growing, there wouldn't be this many BMX magazines. On 31 March The Albion is seeing daylight and also 2024 is a brand new BMX magazine out of the UK. Next to Dig, RIDE UK, Chase and Fastlane they sure have things covered over in Great Britain. The Olympics are coming to town and they've given BMX racing a big boost. Reason for 2024 to get things going. The premiere issue has the following articles:
Issue 1 February 2011-
Marco Dellisola interview
-2010 British Championship report
-
Dan McBride interview
-Frejus BMX Supercross
-
Winnie Wright article
-ABA Grands
-St. Etienne 2011 race report
After finishing up the above I received a mail from the man himself who explains the mag a lot better than the few words above. Jonathan Hearn also sent over some pictures to go along with it. Anyway, more info right here:

Well the first issue in the new format came out early February 2011, we are working on issue 2 now and this will be available at the opening rounds of the British Cycling BMX National Series on April 30th/May 1st 2011.
The magazine is distributed BMX through clubs and retail outlets that specialize or have an interest in BMX racing as well as being available online - although the

website is under construction again after 2 web companies have let us down! Splash page should be up and running later today. Its also available to buy trackside at various clubs and events around the country. I am very keen to build up this network of stockists through through clubs and retailers as I believe that the most impressionable people in the sport are the grass roots - I want them to pick up the magazine and be lost in the pictures and articles and when theyre not reading, theyre riding! Thats how the BMX racing got a hold of me back in 1982/83.

The sport is so hi-profile right now. Since the 2008 Olympics the numbers have been rising. 2011 is a busy year for sure, as well as the local and regional races around the country there is the British Cycling National Series - 12 rounds of racing over 6 dates/venues. But it doesn't stop there, we (the UK) are hosting rounds of the 2011 UEC European Championships, a round of the UCI BMX Supercorss Series - June 18/19 Perry Park, Birmingham and later on August 19/20 in London a round of the 2011 UCi Supercross BMX in London - the first time a BMX

Supercross race has been run on these shores. And then looking to 2012 of course with the London Olympics!! Busy times for sure.
With BMX so much in the public eye its s great time to expand the magazine and promote the sport. With a great team of contributors involved the magazine truly is 'by riders, for riders'
