Introducing the new Snafu parts at the Taipei show

Our friend McGoo has already left for Taiwan for the Taipei show that will happen next week. Distributors and industry people meet there to talk business and to show what they've been working on and will be releasing next year (or in months to come). As in other markets, BMX parts evolve. When you think you've got a bike that will make it through the next 7 years you're wrong. Take a photo of your bike now and look at it 7 years later and you'll understand what I mean. Here's Mcgoo giving you some inside on the 2011 Snafu parts:

We've got a new finish you're likely to see on a lot of new BMX parts this year. It's called color ED, and in a very broad sense it's like color chrome plate. Less durable than actual chrome plate, for sure, but at least as scratch-resistant as powdercoat. In our opinion, what makes color ED more desirable as a handlebar finish is the fact that the

finish doesn't fill in the knurled clamping section like painted finishes can. The blue, black, purple and green finishes you see here will also be available on our Pickle Forks and Mayweather cranks.
