Dynacraft BSC, Inc., the U.S. bicycle distributor, entered into an exclusive licensing partnership with skateboarding legend and action sports pioneer, Tony Hawk. Under terms of this agreement, Dynacraft will develop several new lines of bicycles under the "Tony Hawk" brand. The line will debut at this year's Interbike show in Las Vegas at the end of September and be available in retail stores beginning Spring 2008.
The deal was brokered by IP Chemistry, a division of the Dimensional Branding Group. Dynacraft is planning two different series of "Tony Hawk" products designed for its many clients. "The Tony Hawk HuckJam Series" will be created for Dynacraft's mass merchandise customers. "The Tony Hawk Signature Series", being developed by Dynacraft's recently launched Specialty Retail Group, is for sporting goods chains and other specialty retail customers.

I started keeping a daily journal way back in 1987 when I was only 15 years old. I started back when I was a freshman in high school. Since then, every single freakin’ day of my life has been documented in these journals. If it happened, it’s in there. And believe me; I’ve got some stories to tell. Looking back over the years, here is a journal entry that stands out and also my comments looking back now. Sponsored by Haro? November 4th, 1993 Actual Journal Entry: “I borrowed Cara’s car & drove to Airwalk in San Diego. I met up with BMX Team Manager, Kim Boyle & got some shoes & went to lunch with him.
The Southern Hemisphere is facing winter at the moment. Winter sucks. But 2020 magazine tries to help you get through it. The Australian BMX magazine just came out with their June issue. June is usually the start of summer for us, but not for the Australians. You can imagine that the June issue is packed with events that took place over the '06/'07 Aussie summer. It has Colony's NZ tour, the Morrisey-Crisp trip to X-air, a report on the PMP trails (so dialled), the Red Baron Challenge, Zombie Hop, Rignwood openings, Jay's Jam, Tim Hales day, Kurri Kurri comp, Erindale drunk/ride fest, O'Town report, Colonizing China report by Clint, Metro Jam in SIngapore, Cooma Breakout and much more. The Australians seem to be into jams don't they? When Dave Dillewaard, Colin MacKay and Corey Bohan visited home over the winter (their summer), they did a trip to film for FuelTV. Senad Grosic (Austria) joined them. The Shitluck van made it to Australia.
BMX Plus! goes street with the cover of their August 2007 issue. They're going even more street with their contents spread of a brakeless Jeff Maddox doing a bank to truck/wall ride with no helmet on. There was a time that you wouldn't make it in the mag if you didn't wear a helmet. That's whjen it was really hard for flatland riders to get a photo in the mag. The August issue has a special on flatland rider Terry Adams who goes clubbing with his bike in a limo and no, he didn't wear a helmet while doing flatland demos in several clubs. If you're a photographer you might want to get your hands on this issue. Plus! is giving away a Mirraco Black Pearl Ltd and a pair of Guettler's Whip shoes in a photo contest. Might be worth the $ 3.99 to get that official 2007 Mirraco Giveaway Ballot. Fit's Flow Park complete bike gets tested and it scores more hits than misses. Plus! also has a kinked rail how-to featuring a rider with no brakes, no helmet and tats.
Focus has shifted, the Red Bull Elevation course is finished. On July 1st (Canada day) the top dirt jumpers in the world will battle it out in Whistler, Canada on a brand new course which looks different from the previous years. It has a platform drop-in, three lines to choose from on the top section, some over vertical berms and a bigger than big set at the bottom of the hill. There will be a live band (Metric) playing on finals day after the Hard Trick contest. We'll give you a few names of riders that will make it to Whistler this year:

CONSTRUCTION OF THE OLYMPIC BMX TRACK COMPLETED The UCI track building team just recently finalized the second stage of the Olympic track construction in Beijing, China. The track is now laid out and the 3rd stage of the construction is merely dress up and final touch which is going to be made within the next few months.
Over 10,000 m3 of high-quality soil was used during the 3 week long construction. The track features both a Men and a Women straight-aways, allowing the design to be purpose build.
In two years time the Rebel Jam has built up a reputation of a contest that can't be missed. Memories go from 2 insane Berlin City Tours to a unique judging system where you can even win if you're just stylin' it. The photo exhibition has been a way to combine art and BMX in the right way and this year the Seat Beat will come to Berlin.
The contest is on the calendar from 10-12 August 2007 and the location is the MellowPark in Berlin, Germany. It's actually the last contest at the Mellowpark because they have to relocate right after the comp. Also this year there will be a street, miniramp and trails contest in both Amateur and Pro classes.
