An old Haro Master, bashguard model. In fact, it's Mat Hoffman's old frame that he pulled the first ever 180 flip (it was a bit too up-n-down to call it a "flair") at the UK KOV in Mansfield back in 1990. It was a seminal moment in BMX. Mat pulled this trick, then immediately rode round the back of the ramp and presented the bike to a kid whose dream it was to meet Mat Hoffman as part of his Make A Wish day out. The kid was just blown away. The bike made it back to Ride BMX Mag a year or two later and now you have the chance to bid to own this piece of history.

The second annual Canadian Concrete series kicked off at the infamous Kirkstone park in North Vancouver. Entries topped last year by a huge number of riders, and the level of riding was absolutely insane. Pro riders Travis Sexsmith and Jason Teet were the show stoppers with 12 foot airs and incredible flips (where they shouldn’t be done). The am class gets better and better, with 13 year olds pulling smooth lines that riders twice their age and experience had trouble comprehending. Masters class? 39 year old Ron Mercer showed that the older riders still have it, but veteran ramp rider, Mel Gooder, completely killed it, with 8 foot high lookbacks and front wheel lip tricks.
Next stop is the world famous Coquitlam park on August 5th, where some of the most amazing riding has gone down and footage has been filmed (Osato’s infamous whip to manual to whip back in for example). The riding will be insane, and as always, the good vibes will be flowing.

The next T-Mobile Local Support Challenge takes place at BMX Park Darmstadt / Germany on 28th of July. This time the BMX teams will battle in the discipline BMX Miniramp.
The Local Support style stays the same: Every national BMX spot can compete with one or more teams, each consisting of three riders – thereby it doesn´t matter, if the rider is a pro or am, sponsored or not.
The best team wins money for a new Local Support Obstacle for their local BMX park. Furthermore there are many other top-prizes for the challenging teams, like for example a complete organized BBQ for 30 persons including a BBQ-master. The best unsponsored teamrider receives the T-Mobile Wildcard and goes directly to the BMX Miniramp final of the T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds Summer Session on 26th of August in Hamburg.
The third stop of the Battle in da Club tour 2007, Germany´s first and one and only Bmx Flatland series, will be the incredible Lago Bay Beach Club in Hamburg (11.08.2007). A 5000 square meters area, everywhere you look fine-grain sand, a huge swimming pool and in the middle of this city-paradise the 16 best German & Austrian Bmx Flatlandriders will get together, to decide the best of them in a Battle mode full of suspense. One against one, man against man, because at the end there can be only one winner! After the prize giving the riders and the audience are able to abandon their selves to the sins of summer-sun-beach life, drink some Red Bull and Cocktails, enjoy the view over the bay from Hamburg or relax in the swimming pool.
The whole will be improved through the incredible Dj Coolman, the Clark Gable of the Turntables. Most of you will know him because of his membership with Fünf Sterne Deluxe.
