News News News from the HARO camp:
- Dave Mirra decided to turn down the opportunity to race the Toyota celebrity race at the Long Beach Grand Prix and is concentrating on the upcoming contest season with the Dew Tour being a big part of it. Do you want to see Dave go big? wait for the new FOX ad. They've built Dave a monster ramp outside of his warehouse (it wouldn't have fit inside). Big roll in to massive jump box. Can you say airtime?
- The news that Warwick Stevenson had torn his ACL spread quickly. The Warlock's knee isn't healing, it can only be fixed with surgery. Fortunately cycling doesn't require lateral stability in the knee like basketball or tennis. He's just going to race with a brace to stabilize it. The brace should enable him to compete.
THE AMAZING ADVENTURES OF STU - Each year a group of bicycle riders representing Police Agencies throughout Orange County (California) join together to commemorate the lives of those Orange County Police officers who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. The riders do this by cycling 630 miles from Sacramento to Orange County to raise money for Project 999. Riders participate in this event on their own time.
Past Redline Pro champion and current OC Sherriff STU THOMSEN is training for the Project 999 Memorial Ride that begins on May 7.

You've probably noticed we are running a poll on the FATBMX site. It's the first one we've ever done and we plan on doing new polls from time to time. You can't win anything by voting but you can make your vote count. You can find the poll in the left column. Just scroll down far enough. To avoid people voting 100 times on their favorite item, the voting system is set up to only enter your choice once. Enjoy this new feature and check back for new polls in the next couple of weeks.
The current FATBMX poll is: This is what I ride
Your answers can be: Street, vert, race, dirt, park, flatland. It's possible to hit more than one box if you ride dirt and park for instance.

Last year Fly Bikes' owner David Quesada closed his office and started running FlyBikes from the road. Spending time on the bike and directly with the riders was the best way to get feedback and work on new products. With the help of Alvaro's camper the Fly Bikes team spent some serious time on the road. Then when the winter arrived, the crew flew over to New-Zealand to do some filming and lots of riding. With the help of a laptop computer and internet access, you can work from anywhere, even from the NZ beach. In the picture you see David taking a break and getting his surf on. Now throw a shakka!

The cat is out of the bag. Mark Losey is spending his last day today at the RIDEBMX offices in Tustin, California. Mark is leaving on good terms with everyone there and will still be contributing to the magazine from time to time but the day-to-day job as editor is over. Mark's wife got a good job opportunity in North Carolina so they are packing up with their son Ethan and will move to the Raleigh area, an hour and thirty minutes from Greenville.
Mark will be sadly missed at the international contests where we got to hang out a couple of times a year and always had a good time. Take care my friend. Keith Mulligan is taking over Mark's duty at RIDEBMX.
