It's on top of the bucket list for some, the FATJAM. It's been around for so long (since 1988) so if you've never been, and only heard the stories, here's another chance for you. Next one up: 31 August 2024 at the Sugar Hills Trails in Aarle-Rixtel, Netherlands. Dirt riding for all. Youngters, veterans and the KILLER jump for the daredevils. Challenges are different for each rider. Making it through the pack might be one. Finding transfers might be an other. Doing a big trick on the KILLER jump could be on top of the list also. Either way, no pressure, just challenges. Riding together, receiving tips and motivation from those who are waiting for their next run on top of the hill. Being encouraged will help with your personal goals. The FATJAM is the perfect day for it. You ride street? Come ride dirt for a day. You race BMX? Come jump some gaps. In short, everyone is welcome.
Bring a chair, fill up that coolbox. We'll have a BBQ, music, a giant "prize festival" around 16:00hr and a trails spot in good shape. Meet up with everyone. Plan a trip together. Score a photo on FATBMX. The annual FATJAM is full of surprises. If you show up on August 31st, you'll go home with one thanks to a silent sponsor.

BMX Freestyle: How It All Began?
BMX, or Bicycle Motocross was formed in the 1970s in California, USA. It began as an offshoot of motocross when kids emulated their motocross heroes on bicycles. BMX Freestyle, a discipline of BMX, emerged soon after as riders started to perform tricks and stunts in skateparks, on ramps, and in urban
environments. Over the years, BMX Freestyle has transformed into a highly technical and visually spectacular sport. It started to entice dedicated fans and became a staple of extreme sports occasions, in particular, the X Games.

Speaking on the special significance of competing in the X Games, Peraza said: “It is a show! It’s a contest for us; we are all trying to get a medal, but it’s also a show. It's our stage to showcase our personalities, our new tricks, and our new style to the kids. And not just inspire kids to pick up a BMX bike, but to enjoy action sports, and just put a smile on people's faces!”

The sport of BMX has arguably been transformed in recent years, as it has been given a major platform. At the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, it was made a discipline that could be competed in and it has grown ever since. The 2024 Paris Olympic Games is just around the corner and it has been included once again on the list of events. This will have excited many who enjoy the sport, as well as those who like to enhance their sports betting experiences at the Summer Games. BMX’ing offers their fans who enjoy to show their support through wagering on the Sports Interaction Canada platform the chance to back on athletes competing for the Gold medal in Paris, with top contenders like Niek Kimmann and Mariana Pajón standing out in their respective divisions.
The Popularity of Freestyle BMX
However, while the Olympic Games has perhaps helped to grow the racing side of the sport, there are many worldwide who have enjoyed the freestyle aspect of the sport. Indeed, the freestyle aspect of the discipline is in relation to the skill side of things, where competitors show off the tricks and skills they have on two wheels. Competitors will have just 60 seconds to do as much as they can and wow the judges. The Olympic Games does feature an event that will see the best show what they can do, with it being one of the newest events on the calendar. It made its inaugural debut in Tokyo three years ago, and will once again be on the schedule this time around. It will take place at La Concorde, the same venue in which the basketball 3x3, breaking, and skateboarding will be held.
