It all went down to the wire at the Santa Fe Bike Park in Santiago as 65 riders from 21 countries lined-up to compete for the coveted rainbow stripes this past Saturday in Chile. Switzerland's Christa von Niederhäusern became the first rider in the history of the sport to not only be on the podium for every World Final since 2018, but also becoming a double World Champion after her unbeatable performance to clinch yet another gold medal.
Newcomer from Czech Republic and 2nd placed Sabina Košárková set the fastest time of the day for the Women’s category in 25.334 with Vineta Petersone from Latvia snatching 3rd place from the 2021 World Champion, Aiko Gommers.

What a way to end off the 2022 UCI Red Bull World Championship Qualifier Season at Taira Whiti adventure trust in New Zealand. In the Women's race it was Caroline Buchanan all day long as she secured her ticket to Chile in a time of 26.59 seconds against Megan Williams. A 3rd place for Caitlin Georgantas and a 4th for Shania Rawson. In the Men's race, Bennett Greenough took top spot in qualifying, edging out Bas van Steenbergen by a 10th of a second. With his place in Chile already secured after a win in Canada, Bas took it easy in his semi final run to make sure it was a locals only final between Bennett and Dan Butterworth. In the race for 3rd and 4th place on the podium, Bas put down a heater to beat out Connor Mahuika for 3rd place.
In the finals it was Bennett who would take the no 1 spot against Daniel, with a time half a second quicker than anyone else over the weekend in 23.78 seconds.

Lesotho you incredible Mountain Kingdom you! Always good coming home to the first Pump For Peace pump track. Kopano Matobo took the win in Roma with 18.58 secs over Ralikotsi's 18.65 in the Final Run. Two time winner Mosito Mohapi had an unfortunate crash in practise that took him out of the running.
South African BMX Champ Miyanda Maseti made the journey down to the Lesotho Qualifier to secure her ticket to Chile over local favourite Khothalang Leuta in a cracking time of 19.18 seconds.

2021 UCI Pump Track World Champ Eddy Clerte made the journey back to the track where he won those rainbow stripes one year ago to take the number 1 here again today. With Eddy already travelling to Chile, that golden ticket went to the 2nd placed Belgian rider Didi van Tiggel with a third for local rider Renato da Silva in a tight day of racing.
In the Women's category the day belonged to Switzerland's Eloise Donzallaz who took the win today to ensure her place at Santa Fe bike park in Chile on 19 November. Second place went to Slovakia's Kristína NOVÁKOVÁ.

Crazy day of racing Czech Republic! Close to 70 riders from 11 nations lined up on Saturday at @heipumptrack to chase that Red Bull UCI Pump Track World Championships ticket to Chile in November. The fastest time of the day in the Women's category and the first place medal belonged to local rider Sabina KOŠÁRKOVÁ, fresh of her win in Norway, in a time of 22.628 in the final run.
It was neck in neck racing all day long, Kristína MADARÁSOVÁ swapped in her little wheels from her win in Italy for the big wheels here and a mistake in her final run saw her take 2nd place on the podium. Leaving the third place and the trip to Chile to 2018 World Champ Christa VONNIEDERHÄUSERN with Sabina and Kristina already set for Chile.
In the Men's category Latvian rider Kristaps VEKSA took the fastest time of the day in 21.035 seconds and the ticket to Worlds. Close on his heels was Slovakian rider Daniel HRADSKÝ in a time of 21.331.
Women's Results:
The Dutch qualifier of Red Bull UCI Pump Track took place Saturday in the Urban Sportpark in Eindhoven. Aiko Gommers (BEL) and Anaia Istil (FRA) took home the win and earned their spot in the World Final in Chile. The format of the Red Bull UCI Pump Track Qualifier is simple: first all riders were given two runs to set the fastest time. Then the fastest 32 men and four women battled against each other in direct duos, of which the fastest was allowed to advance to the next round.
The women's final was between the Belgian twins Aiko and Robyn Gommers. Aiko got it from her sister. She is the current world champion, and in her rainbow jersey she lived up to expectations.
A stacked field lined up for the Swiss Qualifier @pumptrack2520 with some exceptional racing all day long. In the Women's category French newcomer Lea Brindjonc took the win in a lighting fast time of 18.870 against 2019 World Champ Christa von Niederhaeusern's 18.890 with a third place for current World Champion Aiko Gommers.
In the Men's category it was the second win for France's Thibault Dupont after his win in Spain earlier this year. Leaving that ticket to Santiago, Chile for second placed Tristan Borel and a third place for Anaia Istil. All three riders breaking the 17 second mark in excellent form.
