BOX Components is launching a titanium replacement bolt program called BOX Bolts starting with 6Al-4V titanium, cantilever brake bosses. Available in raw titanium or with a gold anodized finish, the bosses fit most BMX frame brake boss mounts and weigh just 11 grams/0.38 ounces per pair. Swapping the original steel bosses for the titanium is a simple process and will take a skilled mechanic less than 10 minutes to complete.
The titanium brake bosses are the first product to be sold under the name BOX Bolts. BOX plans to offer other replacement titanium bolts and bolt kits for its BMX and mountain bike components in the future. BOX Bolts will be available through all regular BOX Components retailers.
