ESPN2 will televise live World of X Games: KRob Flips Providence, the Guinness World Record attempt for the longest ramp-to-ramp, no-handed backflip on a BMX bike on Saturday, Aug. 13 at 11:30 p.m. ET. The backflip – from Kennedy Plaza in Providence, R.I. – will also be part of the World of X Games series on Sunday, Aug. 14 at 4 p.m. ET/ 3 p.m. PT on ABC.

Daniel Wedemeijer: Heerlen is a perfect location for riders out of Germany, Belgium and even France. So yes hopefully lots of them will come over to have a good time.

Closing out the first-ever BMX Street Invitational at Vans’ Off The Wall Skatepark in Huntington Beach, twenty of the world’s most talented street BMX athletes battled it out for the top honors in a multi-section exhibition this past Saturday drawing a great crowd and the cheers of Vans founder Paul Van Doren. Nothing was left untouched, as stairs, ramps, rails and even palm trees were dominated by some of the best BMX street athletes.
