USA BMX is delighted to announce the 2017 National Schedule. Next year's national schedule will encompass 26 weekends beginning January 13, at the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada and concluding Thanksgiving weekend at the River Spirit Expo in Tulsa, Oklahoma. 2017 will also see the UCI BMX World Championships return to the U.S. for the first time since 2001. Sam Willoughby an Australian Olympic BMX rider was in a freak accident on September 10th, 2016 while training at local San Diego BMX track. He suffered a spinal cord injury around his C5 – C7 vertebrae. Sam being the fighter that he is with a spirit of a true champion has been doing aggressive rehabilitation therapy in Colorado with his fiancé, family, friends and fans cheering him on.
