Beside Rookies and Amateurs there now will be the possibility for Oldschoolers to take part at the 3rd Rookie Jam on April 5th 2008 in Cologne. When on 5th of April 2008 the BMX beginners and amateurs will ride the Suzuki bike & skatepark in Cologne, for the first time there will take part another Class: The „E.T.-Class“! It’s for those guys who saw Steven Spielbergs film „E.T. – The Extra- Terrestrial“ in 1982 with tears in their eyes – but not because they felt sympathy for the little alien, the fact was, that they wanted to ride a BMX-bike like his friend, the ten year old Elliott.
My son is 4 years old. He rides his Haro Z12 like he's possessed. Head down and pedaling as fast as he can until the situation is there to hit the coaster brake for a skid. Gotta love it. When Philip saw the new Freedom BMX mag on the kitchen table he yelled out; "Wow, vet cool! " He has already learned the popular slang language at school. Things go fast at his age. Philip wasn't actually referring to the German magazine in general (his German isn't there yet) but he noticed all the free stickers that were wrapped around the outside of the mag. His bike is blue and he's got those fuorescent thingies in the spokes that the wife gave him when I was out of town. It makes his bike look like a carnaval but whatever, he likes it so that's okay. From all the stickers on the magazine I told him to pick three for his bike. Here's what he chose: A PURPLE How's my riding? sticker, a GREEN Peoples store sticker and a dark grey Freedom BMX sticker.
Last year the Brawlin' at the Belmar was a huge success simply because the jam was a good time. People drinking, riding, messing about and having fun. Props was there, the pics got sent around and even some top dawgs showed up to ride. To remind you on the people who showed up last year we'll post the top Pro results. To see what Brawlin' at the Belmar entails, reserve the weekend of 2-3 August for a good time.

This entire facility is spectacular and the arena will be one of the best ABA will visit all year. The Hooker Creek Event Center, a multi-purpose indoor arena, is the largest of the buildings at the Fairgrounds that constitutes some 279,000 square feet of space under one roof. The space will allow for a great track with tons of bleacher seating.
The top 24 of these riders made it tot he finals. Hector Garcia is on the waiting list in case someone gets hurt or is too wasted to ride the finals. Albe's Brandon Dosch kicked ass and convincingly beat everyone else in Pro Qualifying. See the schedule for today below the results list.
Queensland’s Jared Graves and Perth’s Nicole Callisto both improved Australia’s chances of taking the maximum number of BMX riders to the Beijing 2008 Olympics. By winning ahead of competing countries New Zealand, China, Japan and Hong Kong today in Penrith, the Australians gained valuable UCI points from this Oceania Round 9. Former mountain bike rider, 25 year old Graves, got an early lead on New Zealand’s Olympic hopeful Marc Willers. Close contact in the first turn between Willers and Penrith’s Luke Madill gave the kiwi second place. After getting an unlucky outside starting lane Madill was still content with third place on his home track.
After doing a BMX 'zine for ten years (1987 - 1996) FATBMX made it on the internet. The year was 1998. Here to stay.
