The 2025 UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup season signed off in Sakai, Japan, with the Park and Flatland champs finally locked in. The third and last stop of the tour rolled into the Urban Sports Park — the relocated Tokyo 2020 setup — and this quiet town of 25,000 suddenly felt like the center of the freestyle universe. After Montpellier and Shanghai, this was the final chance for riders to scoop up those precious UCI World Cup points.
BMX Park Men
The men’s title fight boiled down to Justin Dowell (USA), Anthony Jeanjean (FRA), and home hero Rim Nakamura (JPN). All three survived the early rounds and lined up for one last showdown. From the first drops it was clear no one was cruising today — everyone was swinging for the fences.
Dowell’s day ended way too early after a heavy slam on the step-down spine. The crash ended both his final and his shot at the overall title, landing him in 12th. Jeanjean rode clean and steady, but the big surprise came from two former scooter killers — Jordan Clark and Jude Jones — both from Great Britain and both suddenly looking like they’ve been BMX Park lifers. Jude threw down the winning run of the day, bagging his first World Cup win. Jordan, fresh off a 2nd place at the World Skate Scooter World Championships earlier in the week (also in Sakai), doubled up with another 2nd place on Sunday. Nick Bruce (USA) backed it up with a strong 3rd.

The 2025 UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup season came to a thrilling conclusion today. The athletes pushed amplitude, originality and difficulty to new heights to claim the last victory of the season, and the coveted overall World Cup titles.
2025 UCI BMX FREESYLE PARK WORLD CUP
In the Men’s category, Sakai delivered another spectacular showdown, ending with a British one-two finish. Jude JONES claimed the top spot, followed by Jordan CLARK, while American rider Nick BRUCE completed the podium in third place.
Sakai, final stop of the 2025 UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup following Montpellier and Shanghai, delivered another decisive day of action. With the Men & Women Flatland Finals and the Park Men Semi-Final, riders not only battled for victory in Japan, but also for the ultimate title: the overall 2025 UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup Champion in each discipline.
2025 UCI BMX FREESYLE FLATLAND WORLD CUP
The Men’s Flatland Final showcased Japan’s dominance in the discipline, with an all-Japanese podium in Sakai. Yu KATAGIRI not only claimed victory in the Sakai stage with an impressive performance,
The 2025 Dutch National BMX Park championships took place at the House of Urban Sports in Amsterdam this past weekend. The indoor place had been transformed into a very decent BMX park with good sized ramps. The Spine, roller, hip and quarters that were added and built over the street obstacles provided enough ramps for the riders to put on a good show. The crowd was amazing all day with the grandstands filled with fans, parents and fellow riders to support what was happening on the FOP.
Several age group classes were added to the day next to the Elite Men and Elite Women classes: Under 13, Under 16, Men Amateur, Women Amateur. A good number of riders entered and the qualification rounds as well as the finals were completed in one day. Being indoors sure made a difference here. Under the tunes of DJ Redbeard (Tokyo 2020 Olympic skateboard and BMX DJ) riders pushed each other to ride at their best potential. Odin Paulissen won the U13 class while his brother Saimi took first in Amateur. These two brothers live, eat, sleep BMX so expect to see them around for years to come. Madhu Furst was a clear winner in the U16 class with solid runs packed with tricks. Gino Cox gave everything he had to finish 2nd. Amateur Women and Elite Women rode together in one comp but the results were split. The first place in Amateur that way went to Louis Koolwijk. The battle for the Elite title was between Indy Krämer and Jikke Schraffordt. Shanice Silva Cruz pulled a 540 but had to settle for 3rd. Indy and Jikke had to push hard in order to grab the 2025 title.
