Fly are happy to announce that they have started production on their new brake lever. This means it should be available approximately late April or early May. The new lever has a very simple design filled with many technical features. First off, it is very stiff because it is forged and CNC just like our brakes. Second, Fly decided to get rid of the old screw in barrel adjuster. They felt they no longer needed the adjuster because there is usually one down by
Between the seasons Carhartt Streetwear presents a special series of allover print products. Three original Carhartt Jackets have been selected for this project: the Hooded Sport Jacket, the Car-Lux Hooded Thermo Sweat and the Hooded Thermal Lined Zip Jacket. The patterns named Cell Print, Tape Print and Mud Print give these classics a sense of originality and style. All prints come in different colourways, making the choice 3 times harder. The series is accompanied by matching New Era caps, also available in all three patterns.
The February 2008 issue of BMX Plus! just came out. On the Cover we have Sean Sexton (doing a fakie tuck no hander). Further content you can expect inside:
As if organizing the Simpel Session isn't tough enough, Risto Kalmre forked out another issue of Sahtel magazine just in time for things to go hectic. Sahtel 6 has great photos and great layout and is a mix between skateboarding and BMX, just like the Simpel Session contest. The mag is in Estonian so pretty hard to read if you're not from that area but it has great full page BMX shots that will please you. It's got a thick cover and with 114 pages you can kill someone with it. Full color on the inside too with little advertising making the book look even better. ISSN number is 1736-2199. Cover price is Hind: 69.-. It's time they change to the Euro over there. Sahtel comes with a free Circa skateboard DVD (inside backcover) which showed me how gnarly street skating is these days. Pick one up at the Simpel Session.
A lot of colorblind people have worked at Hoffman Bikes. It showed in their T-shirt colorways, and more. These days are gone but they have not forgotten to make this world a colorful place. New are the Purple Haze anodized products as well as a complete range of white pars. In January the Red parts will become available. If you like what you see, hit up your local Hoffman Bikes dealer.
Fly has got a new seat out and a new seatpost to match. The slim seat has padding where needed and comes with aluminium bumbers (available in different colours). The 8 mm crmo rails are hollow so still light. You can take them off to fix them if they bend. The leather on the sides is less grippy so you won't catch your pants. The Fly seat goes well with the new seatpost which has a simple design with just one bolt. If you've struggled with seat gussets before
RIDEBMX (USA) has undergone some big changes. It's hard to miss the new paper, new size and also the lay-out has changed. It was actually time for America's main mag to change things up. Being on cruise control only works for so long. The January issue that we picked up at Paul's Boutique counts 140 pages. You can count 24 pages in for a Free Agent catalog which makes the mag thicker than it really is. The main stories (Taj Mihelich's school project, South Africa report, Brad Simms interview and how Americans got beat up in Paris - Euro roadfools) are all great and let's hope RIDE continues to bring bigger stories. There's no lack of photos in the mag (12 pages of Focus) and the rest of the mag is filled up with news, a Bio on Dave Thompson, Ten questions for Nigel Sylvester, a little thingy on the SeatBeat expo, video reviews, a new page on BMX shop owners,

We received the "Deal With It!" DVD yesterday and put it in the DVD player. It didn't run. So much for a DVD review I thought but when I put it in the computer it started off straight away. The Source is a BMX shop out of Hastings, UK and "Deal With It" shows riding from their team and friends. For the most part it's pure street but it has some trail riding in it too. You know, FIDS has a section and it's one of our favorite sections. Fids is the man and his bikelaunch to summersault would be a big hit at any event. We haven't watched all
After doing a BMX 'zine for ten years (1987 - 1996) FATBMX made it on the internet. The year was 1998. Here to stay.
