ETNIES OPENS BASPAT POP-UP STORE AT BOXPARK – FROM LONDON, TO BRAZIL, TO THE WORLD!

With the whole world focusing on London this summer, etnies decided to focus their London store on the world! Following the success of their first 'Buy A Shoe, Plant a Tree' pop-up store in Paris last year, etnies will now exclusively showcase the full selection of their 'BASPAT' collection at their Boxpark store, London.

Over the last 500 years, Brazil’s Atlantic Rainforest has been destroyed dramatically, leaving only 7% of its original cover

today. Through agricultural production and urban development, millions of acres of trees have been tragically damaged, burned or cut down. etnies is stepping in by expanding its Buy a Shoe, Plant a Tree project to help reverse Brazil’s deforestation. Through its partnership with Trees For The Future, etnies will help make a difference in this area, one shoe at a time.

etnies will support planting 100,000 trees within the Atlantic Rainforests state of Sao Paulo throughout 2012. The reforestation program plants a tree for every purchase of etnies Jameson 2 and Jameson 2 Eco shoes.

The surfers head out to the Rio Pro, then on to Sao Paulo to check out first-hand the work etnies and Trees For The Future are doing to help replenish the forests and how the program is teaching Brazilian children about sustainability and reforestation.

With currently 70.000 trees planted in 2012 and counting, etnies is taking a step in the right direction, one step at time.
