The day before New Years Eve, TCU BMX threw down an awesome jam at Rye Airfield Skatepark to help out Brett Banasiewicz in his recovery. Only several days before Brett had rode his bike for the first time in 4 months, making tremendous progress. It was amazing to see all of the great riders that came out to support, and it was especially cool to ride in such an awesome session in my home park. Rye is one of the only parks that fits in all disciplines, Vert, Street, and Park, and riders were shredding everywhere. Riders included Stevie Churchill, Tom Dungan, Mike Hucker Clark, Chris Doyle, Zack Warden, and many others. Catfish made it even more of a party on the mic. The skatepark was more packed than I have ever seen before, and both the locals and the spectators got a treat. 
After doing a BMX 'zine for ten years (1987 - 1996) FATBMX made it on the internet. The year was 1998. Here to stay.
