Q: You will be back in the States this weekend. What will you be doing there? A: Yep back in the States finally this year. I will be going to Woodward East for the first 2 weeks, then I will be doing the open qualifying round for the Dew Tour and during that time I will be staying with mates to ride all the local stops and haven a good time Q: What was it like to ride that insane Red Bull dirt pipe? He is the first rider to pull a 720 double tailwhip (on the resi) and Mark Losey shot some sequences of Mike doing a triple whip on a quarterpipe and also a triple whip over a hip. Over the last 2 years your life has changed a lot. You have seen a lot of the world already and made some money riding BMX. If you would not have been riding BMX, what do you think you would be doing now? Spinner: Right now I would be in my second year of College, probably trying to go in a more business direction for sure.
You're from Amsterdam, people generally think that you guys get stoned and have sex every day. How ture is that? Barry: Hahaha! Come visit Amsterdam and see for yourself! It's the truth though...just kidding!
What sort of stuff do you have to ride in the Amsterdam area? Barry: When it's dry we can ride, otherwise only on Wednesday at the local parc! But when the weather is nice we have several spots. Street isn't the best option, but we have a couple of pretty fun pools and some ramps. Have to say that the Marnix pool and the new mini on museumplein (15mtr. Wide + spine) are the local spots this summer. And don't forget about the 020-trails, trails I arranged with the city, is gonna be sick in the summer. Thanks to redbull as well for that!

When you started riding, did you think it was important to get sponsored? Karl: When I first started riding bikes 10 years ago I didn't even know about the sponsorship stuff. I rode bikes because it gave me a feeling of joy and fun and that's the same reason why I still ride today.
Did you keep on riding with sponsorship in your mind or did you just ride?
You do get some flow from several companies, do you still go shopping or has the time at the mall been reduced now that you get free stuff from Nike and Levi's? Ronnie: Hahah, ya it has definitely reduced, but I still go to the mall with some of my friends to get some food or just for the ride.. but I mainly just go for the best pizza ever hahha.
You ride for a German bike company, how did that work out? Ronnie: Well it all kinda happened the first year I worked at Woodward Camp. I am really good friends with Matt Miller at DK/System and I talked to him like everyday for the whole summer online and one day he called me and was like "Hey I was wondering if you would try out
