OWNR will be available worldwide from the beginning! At first, we focus on Owning Europe, but if you want to OWN a dirt spot in India, go for it! It’s for multiple sports, where do you see BMX in this?
Michiel: BMX is one of the sports that benefits the most from OWNR. Since so many spots are ridable, BMX is in our Top Three list of sports, together with Skateboarding and Snowboarding. That means BMX will be one of the first sports available after the launch!
Who are some of the people who helped you out getting OWNR off the ground?
Michiel: Besides our great guys who develop and design OWNR, the most
motivation came from everybody that was so stoked about the idea! Riders, brands, industry people. Just seeing everybody so excited, helping out and spreading the word is what really motivated me to go for it! Shout out to Nicky van der Veen, for appearing in our promo video and spreading the word! Do you believe The Netherlands is ahead as far as kids having access to multimedia?
Michiel: The Netherlands have always been quite ahead, in technology, media and being involved in next level stuff. Now every kid has a smartphone, or at least a decent computer!
Free Wifi worldwide for everyone. How would that help your project? Michiel: That would be great! Having acces to the internet everywhere would really benefit. Especially for riders in less developed countries.. everybody should be able to OWN spots, and show their skills! OWNR will also have a webversion, so you can join without having a smartphone.
Where can people find out more about OWNR?
Michiel: OWNR is now in development, and looking for funds to accelerate the creation. Make sure to check out our crowdfunding pitch @ www.indiegogo.com/ownr . You can contribute to our project, and receive something awesome in return for supporting OWNR! Check it all at indiegogo.com/ownr, and stay up to date on our facebook page!
