If you reach a certain level in your riding most likely you'll be asked to put on a demo at some point. Maybe through one of the sponsors that you've gathered at that point or maybe someone in the crowd walks up to you and offers you to put on a demo at his next event. You can say you're not interested if it's not your thing to do your tricks in front of a crowd. Fair enough. But it's an opportunity to see new places, meet new people, and get people involved in BMX who have never seen anything like it.
Senad Grosic, Sergio Layos, and
Michael Beran were flown into Japan last week to put on demos

during a bike show there. Senad sent some pics and wrote down what went on in Tokyo.
It was the first time in Japan for me and
Michael Beran.
Sergio Layos had been there 5-6 times already and become our city scout tour guide in the amazing country with very friendly people. We had a good time doing some sight seeing, partying and Christmas shopping when we did not have to do our shows. The ramp set up for the shows was a quarter - box - quarter. We did three shows a day,

three days in a row which was cool. The Japanese crowd appreciated it but my highlight was meeting
Todd Lyons who had a booth next to the ramp set up and watched the shows. It was great meeting a BMX legend over there.
