Samuel Grace, who traveled all the way from the sunny Gold Coast, took out the Raddest division after a commanding performance. Qualifying in first, Sam maintained his top spot as Roman Depiazzi battled into second. In the Rad division, Jay Furukawa showed determination, climbing from third place in qualifying to claim the overall win.
This year saw an impressive turnout in the Rad division, with twelve riders stepping up to take on the bowl, the biggest number we’ve seen yet. Many of these up and coming riders are part of Western Australia’s growing youth BMX scene, bringing fresh energy and progression to the event. Their commitment and enthusiasm highlight the fire of the next generation and the bright future of BMX in WA.
The Groundswell BMX Bowl Battle was proudly hosted by Freestyle Now, continuing their mission to promote positive, inclusive action sports culture. The event showcased not only world-class riding but also the strength of the Western Australian BMX community, riders pushing limits, encouraging each other, and inspiring the next generation.
None of this happens without our sponsors behind the scenes - Groundswell Festival, Vans, Backbone BMX, Colony BMX, Sneaky Wholefoods, and Local BMX.
