Prangenberg (Street), Markus Reuss (Spine Ramp and Street) and Kevin Nikulski (Flatland). The Flatland contest is part of this year‘s global series „BMX Flatland World Circuit 2016“.BMX legend Bob Haro from the USA has also agreed to appear. The long-time friend of Cologne organizer Stephan Prantl will take part in a „Meet & Greet“ with the fans and like last year, will follow all the competitions as a fan.
„After a fundamental change in concept, last year we celebrated the perhaps best event of the last few years. That is why we want to once again forgo paid entry, so that everyone – hardcore fans, beginners, interested on-lookers and families – can have the possiblity of celebrating BMX sport together with us,“ explained Stephan Prantl, organizer of BMX COLOGNE. „Athletically, this year we are focusing again on four core BMX disciplines and expanding to two days. This way we want to help BMX sport to continue evolving.“
Fans will not have pay any entry on either day. The competitions begin each day at 10 a.m. The BMX Festival will be rounded out with an „80s Roller Skate Disco“ on an auto scooter, as well as food trucks and a shopping mile, so that attendees‘ hunger and thirst wil be served in original ways and that they can shop for everything they want, from sunglasses to BMX bikes.
