Although the weather predictions were not perfect, it turned out to be perfect. Perfect temperatures and with the sun out during the BBQ, everybody was really Chillin' & Grillin'.
Paul de Jong already came over on Friday and stayed until Monday. During these days his son Boyd made about 20hrs / day cruising around the 37yr old Oldskool Snakerun.
Then ofcourse we had our local hero's, the crew from Hengelo and the Deventer / Zutphen gang and also rider & photographer Aaron Zwaal from Nijmegen. A big thank you and respect goes out to Rolf Blenk for travelling all the way from Zeeland to chill with us.
Erik de Bruin also made it over from Utrecht to ride the same park as he rode 25yrs ago - Hammertime! At the end of the day his wheels could not turn anymore because his old spokes broke due to fatigue.
Frits van der Linden is serious about two things; good food and dropping the best water bombs from the diving platform. He made sure the BBQ was fired up and good to go. Guus is always there to take care of the tunes from his pimped cargo bike with loads of watts available.
Daniel Wedemeijer also made it over for the first time in 12 years but loved the old skatepark. It was clear that he doesn't need perfect transitions to go big. He also went full speed down the snakerun and jumped a 30ft gap. Ridiculous... This guy has got some balls!
When it was time to fire up the BBQ, Dimitris Araouzos, ASA and their crew dropped into the snakerun with a homemade, supersick sidehack. This was almost too much fun and it showed on their faces!
I would like to thank everybody for another great jam and hope to see you all again in June 2017! And don't let Pietje Paulusma influence your decision!
Just enjoy a few pictures and make sure to join us next year.
