The Bike Days 2016 are over. Unusually late in May and totally rain-free these were also the hottest Bike Days ever. “It may have been hot under the exhibitors’ tents, but the competitions were even hotter this year! The skill level at this international competition series was incredible; the match-ups were tremendous!" commented organizing committee president Erwin Flury on the three-day festival.Viki Gomez defends his title
Viki Gomez of Spain managed to secure a win in the incredibly close BMX Flatlander Battle. The crowds, who, despite the beautiful weather outside, filled the Rythalle in Solothurn to the brim, cheered the loudest for last year’s winner. His short, crisp combos and new 720 pivot trick won over the judges. Matthias Dandois of France and Dominik Nekolný of the Czech Republic took second and third place.
The Bike Days are the starting stofe of the international BMX Flatland World Circuit, what makes this competition even more important. After Solothurn the BMX Flatland World Circuit will be held in Cologne (GER), Rio de Janeiro (BRA), Montreal (CAN) and Malacca (MYS).
Next Bike Days will be held from May 5th to 7th 2017
