The Open qualifier at the FISE World Series just took place in Langkawi Island, Malaysia. Brandon Loupos (AUS) as well as Kostya Andreev (RUS) killed it on the FISE course in front of a good sized crowd to finish first and second respectively. Italian Alessandro Barbero has been a FISE regular for many years and managed to finish in spot #3 with two solid runs that included wallrides to tailwhips and 360 tuck no-handers the opposite way over the jump box. The 2015 FISE Langkawi stop has a hitching post and a step-up that Barbero barrel rolled on his with to third place. Irek Rizaev (RUS) has been knocking on the door of the pro ranks for a while and used his big jump box tricks to qualify in 4th just ahead of a flair dropping-in Ryan Taylor from the UK. Alex Coleborn made it to the next round as well and is looking forward to do some clean runs to pass absents Mike
Varga and Daniel Wedemeijer in the overall 2015 Fise World Series ranking. The level at the open qualifier was high to say the least which promises something for the upcoming days on Langkawi Island, Malaysia.
