At 1PM PST, the entire camp came out to watch the pros and their fellow campers compete for the win. The crowd cheered as they watched Connor Lodes (Team Illingworth) unique lines. Team Captain Kevin Peraza caused a ruckus when he did a decade down the stairs, and Devon Smillie (Team McCann) got rad at the Plaza with a suicide no handed fakie.
Everyone went nuts for Matt Ray’s (Team Wallace) double truckdriver down the stairs, but it was his attention to detail on the course that landed him a second place spot. In the end it was Broc Raiford (Team Peraza) who killed it all day with challenging moves on the course like his double peg uprail to truck driver.
In the end, riders met to hear which team was going home with the win. Team Peraza took home First Place for the second year in a row, and the team was stoked to hear their names announced. Team Peraza totaled the most points overall in Dirt, Park, and Street. Pro Daniel Sandoval (Team McCann), took home M.V.R. (Most Valuable Rider) for competing and excelling in all three events and was awarded a Mongoose Teocali Expert ($2,899 USD) mountain bike.
All of the Mongoose Jam amateurs went home with Kevin Peraza’s signature frame, “La Familia,” an American-made Mongoose frame. They also walked away with a brand new GoPro, and awesome Mongoose swag. For more information on the Mongoose Jam and the riders, check out jam.mongoose.com.
