It's awesome getting to travel to Mexico for a BMX event. In fact, I almost made it to Guadelajara 23 years ago when Jay Miron, Kalle, Billy Newman and busy P Drove down there from San Diego to visit Alex Vasquez and friends. I would have had to change my flight to stay longer but after 11 weeks of Cali I was ready to go home. Fast forward 23 years and I'm in Mexico and got to meet up with Alex Vasquez again at the Red Bull Dirt Conquers event. Life is great.
Dave King, Magilla, Clint Reynolds and some more riders worked hard in the beating sun to build a park out of dirt. In the beating sun it took them a little over three weeks to create something amazing. 24 riders showed up for first practice on Friday morning in 30 degree temperatures and they were off finding the lines and getting a feel of the transitions.
Ben Hennon jumped in there right away and didn't stop riding as he was loving the course. If there was a top three podium for first practice
AJ Anaya would be on there for sure as he didn't hold back doing double
