Ben Hennon was crowned champion of Red Bull Ramparanoia, the BMX competition in which the best riders in the world challenged themselves in the most original place: the “Campo de Piedra Pomez” (Pumice field) a scenario located 4000 m.a.s.l, more than 75.500 hectares long, with natural ramps formed more than 500.000 years ago, as a result of volcanic erosions. The competition started after one day of adaptation, in which the riders had the goal of adapting to the height and

the heat, trying to ride a bike on a surface that has never been explored by a BMX rider before. The following days the competition was held, in which the participants had to show their best tricks and maneuvers while evaluating their own competitors as well.
“I feel honored to have been invited to this competition and I am happy to have won. The experience was amazing … without a doubt Red Bull Ramparanoia helps to increase the level of BMX even more, because we really had to outdo ourselves to ride in a place far away from everything, at 4000 m.a.s.l. and with totally amazing and challenging natural ramps”, commented
Hennon, winner of the competition, who demonstrated creativity, good adaptation to the ground and the climate, and was very complete in all his rounds.
Daniel Dhers, meanwhile, was awarded by the other participants for having done the best trick: “360 tail whip to barspin”, technical maneuver perfectly executed by the 4-time winner of the BMX X Games.
