With the weekend’s stellar musical offering all but over, Sunday saw us reach the sharp end of the action sports competitions. Following on from the incredibly high standard of the qualifiers the forthcoming actions was sure to get the crowds going as everyone sought to put their name up in lights. The BMX finals were hard fought.
Mark Webb and
Kyle Baldock, both of whom impressed in qualifying, continued to push the bar in the Pro Park. Both riders brought their trademark styles to bear, with a series of consistently inventive
lines. Ultimately though it was Mark Webb who came out on top, whilst
Kyle Baldock and
Daniel Sandoval made up the top 3.

BMX riders took to the Relentless Energy Drink Street Spots set up with relish. A procession of aggressive yet imaginative tricks saw
Alex Kennedy throw down and eventually walk away as champion. Fan favourites
Sam Jones and
Paul Ryan pushed Alex all the way to deservedly make up the top three.
The final day’s sunshine saw the BMX riders take to the dirt.
Daniel Sandoval improved on his 3rd place park finish and claim gold with some huge jumps. Cali resident
Rick Mosely and South African
Greg Illingsworth flew into second and third respectively with some huge air.
