It was off to the Red Bull Trick Or Treat contest in Brooklyn. Time to check the venue. We crossed the bridge from Manhattan to Brookllyn and searched for the place in the navigation system. With a couple of smartphones and a semi address the adderss of the Newtown Barge Park was found and we made it there early. It felt weird going to the one-day contest in the afternoon. It meant little practice for everyone on a new set up and the contest would be over at night. Bruno unpacked his bike and put it together in a few minutes.

Doing this plenty of times a year helps and with no brakes on the bike, it's a piece of cake to slap the bike together.

Bruno signed in, said hi to some people and cruised around on the course to see what it was like. Some ramps were kind of ghetto-ish but if you're a street rider you make anything work. The backdrop of the Manhattan skyline was awesome while the 17 year old warmed up. It drizzled just for a little bit but the sun came out afterwards. It was cold but dry, meaning the contest could take place.
Bruno's team mate for the comp was
Dakota Roche. Not a bad pick, but there were other strong riders who made it to the Newport Barge Park:
Team1: Edwin De La Rosa and Brad Simms
Team 2: Corey Martinez and Nathan Williams
Team 3: Marlon Europe and Chase Dehart
Team 4: Davey Watson and Jack Maddock
Team 5: Mike Hoder and Jackson Ratima

Team 6: Tom White and Dave Belcher
Team 7: Ralph Bury and Andy Gregory
Team 8: Mike Brennan and Jared Washington
Team 9: Nigel Sylvester and Ralphy Ramos
Team 10 : Butcher and Garrett Hoogerhyde
Team 11: Tyrone Williams and Taco
Team 12: Kenny Horton and Joel Barnett
Team 13: Aaron Ross and Eric Lichtenberger
Team 14: Tony Hamlin and Sean Sexton
Team 15: Bruno Hoffman and Dakota Roche
Team 16: Scotty Cranmer and Augie Simoncini
Bruno felt good after practice. Let's bring on the comp!
