The first eight members of the 2016 UCI BMX World Championships team were named on Wednesday, nearly one month ahead of the May 25-29 competition in Medellin, Colombia. Four men and four women were selected to the team, while another two men are still to be named following the May 7-8 World Cup #3 in Papendal, Netherlands.

Round two of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup went indoors. The BMX arena at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester, England once again hosted a world level race which had 129 of the fastest elite men and 47 of the best female BMX racers enter. After a good off season I felt ready to race in Argentina and get some points for the Olympic Qualification… Last year I ended the season with a broken ankle + torn ligaments at the last UCI BMX World Cup in Rock Hill, USA. I took some time off to heal and rehab. 6 weeks later I was able to ride my bike again and train with the rest of the Dutch team.
