POWERMIX 11. YEEEEHHAAWWW
Velosolutions Pump Tracks are popping up everywhere and for good reason. The quality facilities are good fun for anyone who rides BMX bikes (and other contraptions with wheels). The grippy, yet smooth surface lets you carve the well shaped turns and challenges everyone to manual and jump sections without pedaling once. Don't underestimate the fitness you need to keep going. Doing 3 laps at full speed and you'll be searching for fresh air. Please find below a couple of pump tracks that you should pay a visit to when you have the chance.
Aigle
With 16 new pump tracks in Switzerland built in 2020 alone, the total tally in the country now soars above 40 - an immense figure for a country that could easily fit 16 times into the state of Texas. Notably, the UCI World Training Center in Aigle is now home to a brand new pump track to complement its world-class training facility. Velosolutions also paved vital parts of their BMX track to minimize maintenance needs and ensure predictable speeds for the athletes lucky enough to train there.
During an era where they had one of the most revered and well-rounded teams in modern-day BMX, etnies released the full length video “CHAPTERS” in 2017. With 35 trips over a period of three years, throughout 15 countries, at both legendary and new spots, the team shared good times, friendships, sometimes adversity, and have shed blood, sweat, and tears, along with groundbreaking and sometimes downright scary feats.

James "Jimmah" Pease comes through with a deep bag of original moves on spots way bigger than him. Stoked on this one!
Grinds are, arguably, the most fun thing you can do on a BMX outside of simply roasting something. Learning how to grind and what to grind on can definitely be daunting, but Demarcus Paul is here to run you through the basics...
We've asked Mel Stoutsenberger to pick his favourite photos from back in the day and give us the Who, Where, When, What, and Why. Mel documented BMX first hand. His photos tell stories.
Who: (L-R) Bill Ford, Mike Aldred, Butch Baum and John George. We had just received our new Canoga Cycle Center BMX Team shirts that Russ Okawa had made. Completely stoked, we decided to head over to our closest hot spot wearing our new shirts for some photos. I shot a roll of 36 exposure black and white film and got a lot of killer pics but this one was the money shot. Tight formation, everyone has decent air, the light was good and none of the guys hit me after landing.
