The NBL Dixieland Nationals, held at Lexington BMX in Lexington, South Carolina, May 22-23, drew over 1000 racers and fans to take part in some of the most intense Southern racing action this season. The sixth race of the season for the NBL’s Elite Series, the Dixieland Nationals, featured more than 400 fast Pros and top amateur riders from across the country on the world-class Lexington track. The Saturday evening Pro Spectacular began with R&B and blues from master guitarist and Grammy-nominee, Stacy Mitchhart and the *Stacy Mitchhart Band*. Fun contests and exciting giveaways for fans included more than $2000 in prizes, including an autographed helmet from Olympic Gold Medalist, Maris Strombergs and all the Free Agent/Rockstar riders.
It's Thursday and today the complete vert contest was held at the Asian X-Games. The wind had picked up a little but the 10 riders had to deal with it in front of a rather small crowd. Vert finals on a Thursday is kinda weird in itself but the camera's were rolling so you'll get to see it on TV at some point. After the qualifying runs were over the following riders made it to the finals. Qualifying in first was Simon "007" Tabron, followed by Jamie Bestwick, Coco, Austin Coleman and Vince Byron. But for the finals things switched up a little.
ESPN will add the discipline of SuperRally to its sports lineup this summer and has announced the first wave of invited athletes for the 16th annual action sports competition to be held in Los Angeles July 29 – Aug. 1, 2010. SuperRally will join the discipline of Rally Car Racing, already in its fifth year at X Games, on Saturday night of the four-day event at the Los Angeles Coliseum. The new SuperRally event takes on the ever popular Euro-centric sport of Rallycross in a sprint style form of auto racing that features heats of four
