Jase Lewis bedding in his new doomsayer frame. To say he only rides once in a blue moon properly he’s fairly technical on a BMX in the skatepark. Here he is at Bridlington Gasworx skatepark and along the seafront of Bridlington over the course of a few hours.

Do you get excited every year when you get to build up a new bike before the start of the season?
Romain Mayet: I do. Every year is special, I use to build two racing bikes for the season.
Do you get to choose the parts for your SPAD bike?
Romain Mayet: Yes I do. My sponsors help me a lot. I’m riding for:
- PRIDE RACING ( fork, stem, handlebar, wheels, seatpost etc)
- BERINGER BICYCLE (cranks)
- HT, RENNEN, ODI, TIOGA (pedals, chainring,grips, tyre)
While Michal Kovačovič was out in Chengdu, China last year for FISE he dipped out of the contest for a bit to sample what the marble lined streets and smooth as butter spots had to offer. Including guest clips from Ludis Toth and Dave Dillewaard.
