Long time Mongoose BMX Race Team and GT BMX Race Team member Eric Rupe, was inducted into the NBL BMX Hall of Fame this last week in Columbus Ohio. After over 36 years as a BMX racer and 33 of those as a professional, Eric graciously accepted his induction into the HoF with a heart warming speech. He attributed his longevity in the sport, to his love for riding bikes and to still feeling like an excited kid when he goes to the track. “I never thought when I first started racing my bike, that it would ever come to this, but I’m truly honored to be recognized for my career on and off the track”, Eric said. 1. 2hip BIKES SUMMER DEMO TOUR IS BACK!!!! 2hip BIKES has over 20 years of BMX Freestyle Summer demo tour experience, and after a couple years break, for 2011 the tour RETURNS!!! The tour involves 2-3 riders + an MC traveling in a big loop across USA shredding the portable 2hip 1/4 pipe and jump box ramps at bike shops and public events. Tentative schedule of riders include a various combo of riders: Jason Lopez, Andrew Lang, Chris Sorichetti, Tim Knoll ++++ Road tripping and going to Summer
