Wollongong’s Leanna Curtis has furthered her bid for a place on the Australian Olympic team by winning the BMX Australia national title, edging out fellow Rio hopeful Melinda McLeod in a photo finish in Bathurst, NSW. In the men’s event Sydneysider Alex Cameron stormed through for a surprise win to edge out Victoria’s Wade Turner, while the Northern Territory Olympic aspirant Matthew Juster came home third after leading at the half way point of the race.
