This weekend’s World of X Games will air two back-to-back 30-minute episodes on Saturday, April 30 beginning with Remembering Mirra at 2 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT followed by Creating a Monster, Doonies 2 at 2:30 p.m. ET/1:30 p.m. PT on ABC. The first World of X Games episode, Remembering Mirra will feature a tribute to action sports star and X Games icon, Dave Mirra. The episode will dive into his storied career and supreme dominance of BMX at X Games, illustrated through several historic moments and records, resulting in 13-straight X Games medals beginning at the inaugural X Games event in 1995. Mirra is one of only two athletes in the event’s history to have won multiple gold medals in three separate X Games events.

David Budko: Oh man. That’s a difficult one. A lot of crazy moments have gone down through the years. One of my favorite moments was when we were hanging out on the last floor of the hotel around 7am in the morning. My friend was going for a whip down the 5 stairs and right after he landed it he crashed into the wall with his head first leaving a vortex in the wall. I hope there are not going to be any more follow up interviews with you to find out how the situation ended! haha
