4130 Publishing Ltd., a factory Media company, released their August issue of Moto magazine a few weeks ago. That wouldn't make it to the BMX news pages of FATBMX if there was no BMX connection in it. Tim March wrote a story about how BMX got influenced by Motocross when it first started out in the USA in the early seventies (late fifties in Holland!). And these days rider like James Stewart and Chad Reed are taking BMX skills to the motocross track. The "Old Dogs, New Tricks" article starts on page 54. Is Supercross the new BMX?

It's been a while since I'd visited a Grand Prix because this summer there was so much BMX stuff going on. After the Eurobike trade show in Germany I drove 7 hours straight back home and swung by the track in Lierop on Saturday evening where everything was set up for the last Grand Prix of the season. Sunday came and thousands (36.000) of MX fans made it to the track mainly to see who was going to win the 2007 MX1 title. You see Josh Coppins had won 10 rounds, had a lead of 107 points but injured his shoulder and saw his GP lead disappear.

The ASA has started their annual tour in Phoenix last weekend. They're having a BMX vert and a BMX box competiion which is basicallly a huge roll-in followed by two box jumps and a quarterpipe. They had quite the turn out at stop one and here are the results:

Most bizznizz people at the Eurobike show will make it to Las Vegas for Interbike in a few weeks. But Friedrichshafen had a headstart and FATBMX was there and wants to show a few photos with you so you know what you can expect to show up in the BMX shops in the next few months. Some products were in the prototype stages, some bike lines weren't complete, some colours of the samples were off but still there was a whole lot of new BMX stuff to be seen at Eurobike.

We're at the Eurobike trade show in Friedrichshafen, Germany to check out the new 2008 products. Quite a few BMX brands are represented here and it's good to see what they've worked on for 2008. The King Of Dirt that was on the program for today has been cancelled because of the rain which is a shame because it was something that the Eurobike show had missed over the years, a decent BMX display. Frank Lukas, Matti Roese and friends are doing their flatland shows in front of the Felt booth and these brands have stuff on display at the show: 

The twenty inch posse of Wörgl invites the Austrian BMX community to the ‚Judgement Day II’ on 01st September 2007 – This means a relaxed BMX Dirt contest and two local punk rock bands playing some of their best guitar music. After winning the T-Mobile Local Support Teamchallenge in Vienna in June the BMX park Wörgl used their complete prize money to tune the existing Dirt track: In addition to the trails there is a new roll-in and a dirt quarter combination at the end of the track now. The Judgement Day’ is the perfect opportunity to heat up the new track.

What you can expect:
-Track: 2 Dirt Lines with a final quarter combination. On top of that you can find a concrete park equipped with a bowl, rails, benches, a wall etc.

We receive possible pin-up shots from all over the place and this one was found by Vladdie's sister on a swap meet in Mallorca. They're out there, you just have to look.
