Last week we did an interview with Scot Breithaupt about his upcoming event in California. He's been working overtime to get things sorted and asked us to post the info on the site once again. Scot is largely responsible for getting BMX off the ground 40 years ago so without him, who knows what we would be doing right now. Doing collabs is hot and here's the latest on the Collab front. Sunday and Oakley have teamed up to get some fresh sunglasses out. Here's the info: Check out the new Sunday Frogskins! On a beautiful but blustery night in Brooklyn, 36 BMX bikers put street into the spotlight at the Red Bull Trick or Treat contest. Eighteen teams of two hit a creative course that featured Halloween-themed obstacles from coffin grid boxes to a tricked- out hearse, and the winning combination proved to be a mash-up between the big contest strength of Scotty Cranmer and street-wise skills of Augie Simoncini. It was off to the Red Bull Trick Or Treat contest in Brooklyn. Time to check the venue. We crossed the bridge from Manhattan to Brookllyn and searched for the place in the navigation system. With a couple of smartphones and a semi address the adderss of the Newtown Barge Park was found and we made it there early. It felt weird going to the one-day contest in the afternoon. It meant little practice for everyone on a new set up and the contest would be over at night. Bruno unpacked his bike and put it together in a few minutes.
