NBA Supernationals Saddleback Park 1979 Old school bmx at its craziest. Saddleback Park was a wild track. The Pro class had their own starting gate at the top of a cliff. For those too young to remember Saddleback, it was a wonderland for offroad motorcycle riders. The 700-acre park was located about ten miles east of Disneyland and included two motocross tracks, a BMX track, a dirt track, multiple hill climbs (including the famous Matterhorn), a trials area and miles of trails. It was open every day of the week and held races on Saturday and Sunday.

Dave got me into BMX and still took a keen interest in what was happening right up until he became ill, even though he quit riding a good while ago after getting a string of injuries.
