Buchanan continued her lead in the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup series despite battling it out all weekend in the middle of the pack. The heavy travel and race schedule over the past 25 days saw Caroline compete at 2 World Cups, The Oceania Championships & National Championships, across 3 countries, 4 time zones & 6 days straight of travel time. The fatigue caught up with Caroline by this final leg of 4 weeks on the road and saw her bar to bar fighting for a spot in the final.

Back on the bike 7 weeks ago after I broke my elbow. One week later I did my first race in Zolder. Meanwhile I had couple of races. My body feels okay, but unfortunately my results are not there yet… After my crash in Manchester during training, I was out for more than 2 months because of a broken elbow and a small fracture in my wrist. It’s always hard to come back, especially in a pre-olympic year when everybody is on fire to qualify for the Olympic Games.
The first 2 races I did in Zolder and Valkenswaard (beginning of April) felt okay to get back in the swing of racing again. One week later the first UCI BMX World Cup was held in Manchester, where I crashed and broke my elbow 2,5 months earlier. I felt pretty nervous every time I rode the track, but I was satisfied for making the Quarter Final in my condition.
After Manchester I went to France for round 3&4 of the European League series. We had to race in rainy weather all weekend long. Unfortunately I got disqualified in the Semi Final for a stupid reason.
Felicia Stancil (Chula Vista, Calif./GT Bicycles) raced to the silver medal in the Supercross final at round two of the UCI Supercross World Cup on Sunday. In the eight-woman main, Stancil was joined by fellow Team USA rider Alise Post (Chula Vista, Calif.). Post jumped the triple along with Stancil in a battle for second, but unclipped in the third straight and had to settle for seventh place. The women's race was won by Colombian Mariana Pajon.
It was a disappointing day for American men with none advancing
