BMX Dirt Finals went off tonight under the lights in downtown Salt Lake City at the Dew Tour Toyota Challenge. Brett Banasiewicz came out on top in front of a standing room only crowd on the dirt course. His second run of the night stood out among the rest, as he landed a 360 off the roll-in, a front flip no-hander with a clap behind his back, a 720 and a cash roll. His total score of 92.31 beat out Dennis Enarson, who finished second with a 91.57.
Brandon Dosch took the third spot with a score of 91.50.
“It feels great,” said
Banasiewicz following his win on the challenging and technical course designed by BMX legend
TJ Lavin.
“I had trouble in the very beginning but I got through it and I pulled the run I wanted. I’m glad I won and I can’t wait for Vegas.” Banasiewicz’s win puts him in second place in the overall Dew Tour BMX dirt standings heading into the Championships next
month in Las Vegas.
“I think I see it in my future if I ride in Vegas like I did here,” he said of the possibility of a Dew Cup win.
Enarson leads the pack, with
Dosch in a close third place. The Dew Tour Champions will be held October 13-16.

The Dirt Finals were directly followed by the Alli RideShop BMX Big Air contest, exclusive to the Salt Lake City stop this season. The competitors didn’t hold back, throwing their best tricks and biggest airs.
Kyle Baldock won the show by landing a 360 downside tailwhip to windshield wiper, one of the more difficult tricks attempted during the event. He edged out
Banasiewicz, who did a no-handed cash roll.
