Racing got underway in Rock Hill at the fourth round of the USA BMX SX World Cup round 4. Qualifying racing was followed up by the time trials superfinals (top 16 Men and top 8 Women). The top 48 men and joining the top 16 pre qualified riders in tomorrow's racing while the top 16 women join the top 8 in the women class. Make sure to tune into FATBMX.com for the live feed tomorrow.
Elite Men:
In the olympic year the Games are the biggest event. It turned out to be an exciting final race in Rio which was won by American Connor Fields. The 2016 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup started in Santiago del Estero, Argentina this year followed by the races in Manchester, England and Papendal, Netherlands. This weekend the World Cup racing is back on the program with round four being held at the million dollar BMX facility in Rock Hill followed by the finals in Sarasota, Florida on 8-9 October 2016.
Two more UCI BMX SX World Cup races are on the program for 2016. Here is a list of all time wins. Leading with 8 victories in the Men class is Maris Strombergs (LAT) while Laetitia le Corguille (FRA) and Mariana Pajon are leading the Women division with 7 wins each. Rock Hill is on the program this weekend followed by Sarasota 8-9 October. The classification will look different after those two World Cup races.
