Nike has been trying to get the foot in the door in BMX lately and latest additions to the team are Nigel Sylvester and Mike Spinner. Nigel has his own rider part on the Nike website with cool pics and three videos. If you want to check it out, go here. Mike Spinner pulled a 1080 at Dave Mirra's warehouse earlier this week. According to Dave: "He did it just perfect. He does a 720 and simply spins it one more time, it's sick. More people will be doing them when they've seen the footage."
Kye Forte left for the sun. He'll be cruising around Cali for the next few months. United already has a movie up on their site of Kye shredding the Cali concrete. You can watch the clip by visiting this link. Also, while we're at it, Mark Richards made a clip of Boyley (RIP) with unseen footage that can be found in 4Down's video archive. From Chris Woodage: This helmet was given to me by Ryan Nyquist at the Vans Triple Crown in Denver Colorado 2003. This was the year that Ryan won everything he entered and this was the helmet he wore! It probably has magic powers and might enable you to do truck 720's!! Who knows!! This helmet was signed by Ryan ("Rock on Ryan Nyquist '03") at the time as we were going to give it to Ride UK magazine to give away as a competition prize. The competition never materialised and so the helmet has been sat in my office ever since. I have now just referbed my office and thought it would be a good

The event stared off as an event that was known as the RM59 tropical challenge. Pro Racer Robbie Miranda, who the event is named after, has helped promote BMX racing in Puerto Rico and this race is
We have recently added the Nass and Oakley/Twenty jam to the FATBMX event calendar. Damn, that thing is starting to look full. We're waiting on the ASA to announce the LG Action Sports World Tour dates but we are also looking forward to your event. Provide the event date, a contact address, a website URL, some details on the contest and maybe a flyer and we'll put the info up on the FATBMX event schedule.
With great anticipation I put the Flipside DVD in my computer. The story of 4 street riders visiting "pro town" and 4 fully sponsored (contest) pros visiting NYC in return sounded like a good concept. I was waiting for Mirra, Harrington, Dillewaard and Laird to get lost in New York where the only bit of transition can be found at the bottom of the Brooklyn banks. In return seeing E-man, Nigel Sylvester, Blackman and Ralphy in a foampit and playing Golf would be something else too. But before the show started, Glenn Milligan pops up on the screen and announces a slight change of plan.
