"Thanks for checking back in. It's been harder getting a photo for the daily update but I've just stayed up a little later and rode a little hard. This time I took it to the park. It was late at night but that's how the pros do it too I heard. " said Kase. He did come through with another great shot to impress the potential sponsors.
Let the bikes in
Yeah that's me doing a smith on the sub. I broke into the park late at night because the damn skaters don't allow bikes in. If you look close, I'm wearing sandals. Reef, where ya at?! Naah, I don't like to ride in sandals much but I was sick of giving the other brands free love.
Those of you who think I need to wear more protection gear should
"Dude, I saw this rail and thought, what the hell, I just manual the shit out of it....."said Kase as he was working on a new photo for the daily FATBMX Kase update. The guy is serious.
Speed is all you need.
I'm about to get rid of those stupid training wheels but for the moment I need them to get full speed without falling over. I told you, I've only been riding for a couple of months so give me a break.
I pulled this rail manual on my third attempt. The first two times I grinded the rail on my training wheels which could actually be a trick too but once I take off these things I can't do that trick at the big comps anyway.
Hi, my name is Kase and I've been riding for a few months now. I'm pretty damn good on a bike. Do you want to see my trick of the day? I'm sure you do. Well, here we go:
I heard about this Red Bull Circle Of Balance contest in Tokyo so I started working on some flatland moves. Just in case they need me there, I can load up my bike, grab some snacks and take that plane. The snow outside doesn't really help with the rolling tricks I've been thinking of so I've got to stick with tech tricks like this brakeless vertical boomerang. I've got a couple of days left to work on my flatland riding but I can tell you that I'm ready for any battle. Bring it on Jumelin!
You see, I'm wearing etnies shoes in this picture. I haven't signed any shoe deal yet but I'm open for offers.
Hi, my name is Kase and I've been riding for a few months now. I'm pretty damn good on a bike. I will send you a photo of myself doing a sick trick for the next seven days. After a week I will leave my e-mail so all the sponsors can get in touch with me. I've got great support already but to make it to BMX pro life I need to see some salary coming in. Make sure you check my pics every day for the next week and hope you're stoked on them.
Let's start off the day right.
I wake up, put my Albes shirt and Duffs on because you never know what paparazzi is waiting around the corner when I open the door. I take my DK bike, get full speed and whip down the stairs straight to the breakfast table for some Lucky Charms.
It's a little too much for the Albes site but we can make it work here on the FATBMX pin-up section. We don't believe the dude is going to be happy with this but, whatever. Don't look at the guy, look at the girl. Her nipples are covered. Kinda.
With qualifiers in 34 states, which kicked off on January 28th and concludes in mid-August, followed by three regional finals taking place in September, the 2007 REDLINE CUP Series is bound to be another hotly contested No.1 title chase. Tens of thousands of BMX racers will be chasing after the privilege of running the illustrious yellow-background No.1 of the Redline Cup.
Dates and locations of the three REDLINE CUP FINALS will be announced soon; with one in the Eastern, Central and Western regions. This is Redline’s 13th year of sponsoring this series; which was formerly called the “Gold Cup” – which makes Redline the ABA’s longest lasting sponsor on the circuit. For Redline, there is no better place to put your Event sponsorship support; as this is the premier “grassroots” race series in the United States – where RL Cup titles are available for all riders, in all classes – from Novice, Intermediate, Expert, to Girls and Cruiser racers.
It's nice to see Dave Osato on the cover of the new BMX Plus! magazine. What else is in there? Also BMX Plus! is having a photo special in their March issue. Next to that there are simpel tips to make your bike lighter that will be interesting for a lot of you out there. Get ready to fill those tires up with helium, the BMXperts say it works. SE and Volume have bike tests, the ABA Grands report shows that Bubba won his third ABA #1 title in a row, and Matt Hoffman does a barhop on a bike with a bashguard. He's wearing high-tops too and runs 4-piece bars. Wait a minute, that's the Nostalgia page. BMX Plus! brings you three how-to's, a salty Bicycle Union glove test and Integral 13T freewheel review. There's a Shook road trip that starts on page 22. The Ramp Rats Fall classic gets a report and also the Block jam gets some coverage. Steven Cisar has a fast bike, it's a Redman. Or is it Steven who's fast?
So with a thousand other liquid speed style products out there...the peeps at Bawls definitely want to make sure your FAT ass is not running behind. This new energy drink is the official sponsors of the NBL for the 2007 season, and expect some new track records, because this shit works! So we have received a nice little package from our friends at Bawls Guarana. A box filled with a bunch Bawls Guarana energy drinks, regular and sugar free (not sure why we need a sugar free one...) and a couple dozen bouncing balls. Which always leads to new fun, especially when you are high strung of this Amazonian jungle juice.
For those who don't know much about Guarana, It is a shrub or small tree in the Sapindaceae family, native to Venezuela and northern Brazil. The seed of the Guaraná fruit is a central nervous system stimulant with thermogenic and diuretic properties (as found on a quick Wikipedia search).
Have you entered a Red Bull Circle of Balance competition before? Mike S: Yes, I was invited to COB 1 and 2 as well.
Do you think it's right that the event is taking place in Japan this time? Mike S: I don't think there is a right or wrong. I like to go to Japan for the event, and I am sure the Japanese crowd will love it!
Do you believe that Japan is the country where flatland is most popular?
