Round four of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup brought BMX's best riders together in Argentina. On Saturday the only Time Trials superfinals of the southern hemisphere were on the schedule and the crowd came to see who put on the fastest laps in Santiago Del Estero. 2015 UCI BMX Time Trials World Champion Mariana Pajon (COL) and American time trials specialist Connor Fields set the fastest times giving them first gate pick in tomorrow's World Cup racing.
At the impressive sports complex just outside the city centre, the Supercross track was well prepared and smooth as butter. With the grass cut, the asphalt turns swept and the grandstands filled up with the best crowd on the World Cup circuit, it was time for some qualifying racing and the Time Trials Superfinals. Under perfect weather conditions, for a change, it came down to the riders themselves to perform at their best on the track that saw some changes since previous years on the second and third straight. Especially the third straight became tricky with steeper take-offs and deeper sections in between the jumps.
My tribute t-shirt design to my friend and early BMX hero Scot Breithaupt. This design captures Scot in action while leading a pack of early NBA pro's from back in the day. This premium short sleeve fitted mens tee by Raverse features original Bob Haro artwork on the chest. Limited quantities available while supplies last!
The equally cool Scot tribute poster is by famed Mexican artist and OS freestyle rider Omar Chavira. This high-quality 11" x 17" poster is printed on heavy 120# McCoy Silk Cover stock paper. Original artwork by artist and BMXer, Omar Chavira for the Scot Breithaupt Foundation.
About the artist;
Born in Guadalajara México, Omar Chavira has lived in several cities before landing in Ensenada Baja in 1982 where he got his first Redline BMX bike and began freestyling every chance he could. Today Omar is part of a facebook group that keeps the spirit of old school BMX and its roots alive in Ensenada Mexico.

Round four of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup will be taking place at the smooth SX track in Santiago Del Estero this weekend. The fans have been looking forward to see the world's top BMX athletes compete for a spot on the podium in Argentina. World Cup leaders Liam Phillips (GBR) and Alise Post (USA) took over the red leader plates from Sam Willoughby (AUS) and Mariana Pajon (COL) at round three in Sweden last month but their lead is not extensive.
