WHO: Austin’s top BMX riders, on their own version of the steel horse, ready to track down some of the most “criminal” tricks in BMX today. Riders are competing for quite a bounty - $4,000 - or roughly the reward for the Sundance Kid’s head. WHAT: Red Bull Most Wanted captures the spirit of the notorious bounty hunting of the Wild Wild West, where outlaws like Jesse James and Butch Cassidy roamed the land and evaded local sheriffs. “Wanted” posters offered huge rewards for their capture, dead or alive.
Competing riders will navigate up alleys, down rails, over obstacles, and through iconic ride spots around Austin in search the “most wanted” BMX tricks. Riders will meet at the new Empire BMX, where 60 bounties (a bounty is a specific BMX trick to be performed at a specific location) will be offered up to them. The riders will then attempt to “capture” them and earn the amount of cash that each bounty is worth.
