Doing it for Stash Taiwan and Merritt, Robin Slootmaker is back on your screen with another dose dust and crust from the streets of Thailand and Taiwan. We're always big fans of fresh Robin clips! Here's some more info:
"In a continued effort to put Taiwan on the BMX destination map and unlock new spots, I was hoping to wrap this crust video up a bit sooner, but I as most know life gets in the way when you’re making plans.
Originally from California, 36 year old Asian travel afficionado, Robin Slootmaker has been living in Taipei, Taiwan for the last 11 years. This was his fourth adventure to Thailand and while he was there he hooked up with Schogn Lee from BMX Direct to chat about STASH BMX, the Asian scene, filming/photography and more. Robin is a super interesting guy - get watching.
Taiwan transplant and Stash team rider, Robin Slootmaker is back with more hits from the streets of Taiwan, this time for new supporter, Merritt. Needless to say, there's big grinds and a whole loada crust! Love it.
"It feels like yesterday, I still remember around 2013 when I was still a colleage student in Kaohsiung, I saw this guy looking hella bmx, I knew he was a rider. That night KS legend Aga (Jason) called me saying there was an American dude hanging at the shop (Liberty BMX Shop). It was Robin Sloot!
2023 was a busy year for me. Being a mid 30s 9-6 office worker with 6 months of work travel, my appendix bursting shortly after starting filming, and subsequent broken ribs, this thank you to OddCirkus Footwear took a bit longer than initially planned.
Visited my home back in the Bay Area for the end of year holiday season. Besides seeing friends and family I was able to ride some classic and unique spots The Bay has to offer. Living overseas for a decade I often get nostalgic for where I grew up and I hope this captures some of that. Fun times filmed over 5 sessions with Marcus Mederios and Samar Carrillo behind the lens in Berkeley, Oakland, and San Francisco.
I had the opportunity to get out the office and visit Switzerland, Denmark, and Italy for a work trip this September and October. I was able to stretch it out to see friends and family as well as bring my bike.
This is a bit out of the scope of what I normally do but “Strays” is mainly about after work weekend sessions cruising the city with beers, bikes, and boards. No agenda but collect the stray clips and share the good times. Featuring a bunch of folks.
