The 2000s were treasure troves for BMX and video game fans. The two titans of this period were the legendary and late Dave Mirra and Mat Hoffman. Although many believe they stand alone at the top of the sport, many BMX fans have them in their Mount Rushmore of pro riders. Such was the success of both men that gaming companies partnered with them on several occasions to develop video game concepts. These games still hold weight and value in the modern market; such was the size of their impact. Today, we’re going to have a look at how these games reshaped the landscape of the BMX world, how they brought millions of people into the market, and the legacy of both men in bringing this sport to the masses.
